I’m due November 28, and I was wondering what my rights are as far as not letting the “father” see the child.

The “father” is always breaking up with me for weeks at a time then while we are broken up he goes and gets drunk and goes home with “the hottest girl there.” When we are together he still gets drunk and smokes pot and refuses to quit, saying it is his own decision and he doesn’t want to be with someone who controls him. I do not want to be with him, and am going to make sure that we never get back together. He also says that he is going to do whatever he can to have rights to the child. What can I do to prevent this? He lives in Wyoming and CLAIMS he is going to move to Colorado, and I have the choice of living and delivering in either Wyoming or Colorado. He would be living in Fort Collins and I would be in Colorado Springs (about 100 miles apart) if we both moved to Colorado. Anyone have any suggestions?!?!?
The father also went to jail for Meth the first week of April, but got the case “dropped” so i don’t know if i can use that or not.
I’m not going to ask him for child support unless he gains rights to the child.

Possible move to Idaho? Any suggestions on towns?

We’re thinking of moving to either Colorado or Idaho. One thing we like about Idaho (what we’ve read) is that the Boise area has better (warmer) weather than the Fort Collins, CO area. But Boise is just too big for us. We’re looking for a town of less than 100,000 people. But we don’t want to feel like we’re in the middle of no where. We’d like the warmer weather of southern Idaho and I’d prefer a town with a community college or university or a town within 40 minutes of one.

I have two options of where to live, what do you think that I should do?

My heart just recently got broken which may or may not play into the advice so I’m throwing it out there. I live in Fort Collins Colorado. I have to move in August and I have two options. I can either stay in Fort Collins and live with my best friend and one other person that I know from church or I can live rent free with my friends (who are married) out in Millikin (about 20 minutes from Fort Collins) Some say it would be weird to live with a married couple and I should stick with my best friend but I’ve known him for over 10 years and her for over 5 and she is a dear friend and hello no rent. However I’ve lived with my best friend for 4 years already, should I stick with something stable in this emotionally unstable time? Just curious on peoples thoughts.
